List of Nonlinear Games

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-21 16:42

Blah blah blah, there's no such thing as true nonlinearity. But what are the games that come closest?

The experience of nonlinearity lies in making the player feel that their choices are having an actual effect in the game world around them. I want to find more games like this. I'm not looking for cheap imitations that work through numerical karma, nor am I only looking for ending-choosers.

I disqualify concepts like Elder Scrolls and GTA because they're merely 'open,' they aren't truly consequential because they don't provide consequences - as far as I know.

Fallout
Deus Ex
Knights of the Old Republic
Way of the Samurai
