I'd rather see them never make another game with Final Fantasy in the title ever, anyone who thinks any of them (spare for four of them and mind you not a single one of those four are FF1-13) are any good doesn't know what a videogame is plain and fucking simple.
BOTH companies used to make amazing games, and again none of them had only final fantasy and a number in the title. But ever since FF7 and preteens in the late 90s and even during FF7's development (hi xenogears second disk) square turned to shit, and ever since buying them and deciding "let's just milk the ff fanboys with them" enix has pretty much done the same.
But it isn't even just these companies that suffer this "let's not do anything new or original" curse, Halken used to make THE shit and once the Kirby games were legendary (superstar, dl3, dreamcourse, adventure) but now are shit (see: air ride, canvas curse, capcom made gba games, and which brings up another company who is also guilty of this) they even fucked up smash brothers on only the second iteration of the series. Melee was so fucking horrible it prompted Masahiro to be so disgusted that he was forced to put the shit out that he left the company, though probably another part of that is that Sakurai was also no longer with Hal, which would explain why he joined Nintendo later, besides of course needing money.
The point is this, ff7 is the beginning of the end, it and its fanfags are the essence of the snarling ugly digusting fucking beast Sakurai has named sequelization, it is the literal antithesis of originality and WILL destroy videogaming as we know it.
However this is probably a good thing, considering you can't really create anything truly new without a destruction to set up a clear canvas, an industry crash is very much welcome considering looking back on all the good shit that appeared after the last one, coming from that with the addition of all these companies that are just churning the shit going under and no longer providing fanboys with shit to mindlessley jack off over, we should be in for an awesome time 5 or 10 years or so down the line.
