I know you all resent this question more than almost any other, but I have to ask: what are your favorite art games? You can argue that all videogames are works of art (in the same way movies are), but I mean games that were designed with a high priority on beauty or meaning, but not necessarily gameplay.
The games don't have to be great, or even good, they just have to make an attempt to bring the art of video game to a new standard. It's easy to hate the elitism surrounding this 'genre,' but these will be the games that will continue to establish the form, and for this they deserve recognition.
