I'm thinking about getting this game later when I get my PSP.  Does anyone else want to share their experiences with it?  Are the Jap. and Korea versions the same?

There's no Japanese version because DJ Max is infringing the copyrights of Konami. In theory they can't sell even in Korea but Korean court is so unfair that Konami gave up to accuse them.

No, DJ Max is not infringing the copyrights of Konami's Beatmania, becuase it's not hte same.  What Konami got protection for was beatmania, beatmaniaiidx, beatmaniaiii cabinets, the keys+turntable, the game display basically.   EZ2DJ was in trouble because of this, but because the display is different and you don't use the same turntable style controller, there's really no way konami can do anything about, even if they did, it would be a total lost to Konami since they didn't protect what DJMax.

the PSP one is too easy, like keyboard mania, you can smash your buttons to beat a song

Don't change these.
