Use a controller in Diablo II?

I'd like to use a PC controller to move my character around in Diablo II while using the mouse for other stuff. How do I shot web?

Fails for Diablo II. Try something less repetetive. Plus, how will you target anything?

I was gonna target with the mouse, move with the pad in the left hand only. I've got one of those Gravis Not-a-PSX-pad pads, so I figured I could hotkey some shit to l1 and l2, and maybe use my tablet functions for the mouse.
And yeah, Diablo II kinda sucks shit, but my g/f and the guys we smoke pot with started back up playing it, so I'm joining in. Its decent enough hack-n-slash while we're high.
But I come from a strictly console background, so this "click to move" crap is not unlike Resident Evil, I'm not thrilled, but its tolerable.

There's a program called joystick-to-mouse you could probably usem it just makes a joystick act like it's your mouse/kb
