I hate when people say

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-05 4:27

Best **** ever
or
Worst **** ever

or include the word "fucking" or "mother fucking" between titles of a game.

Like Game-on-mutha-fucking-gunbound

or Tales of fucking phantasia

or World of fucking warcraft

It really makes you look stupid, I see this ALOT on the penny arcade forums.

Also, when you say "Best game EVAR" or "best game ever" or "worst game EVAR" or "worst game ever", you look like a complete retard as well.

That simpsons quote suffers from so much over exposure it's beaten to death to the point it's become "stupified" by "da masses" ( eg dumbasses ) ( eg penny arcaders ).

Seriously, do people even watch the simpsons anymore? They used to be classic and came with classic quotes, in the 90s. Now they're just shit. And people are still quoting them, on the internet no less.

A growing trend for games seems to be, you have to be rather stupid to enjoy them. Which isn't surprising considering the current state of the videogame demographic. I mean, alot of the selling points are how pretty something looks or how many boobs come with the game. Or you have to like animu, or lolis or be some fanboi dipshit who consumes everything you come in contact with for the sake of calling yourself a "hardcore gamer" with a shit eating grin on your face.

Why the hell did the term "gamer" ever become to widely recognized as a title for people who enjoy playing videogames? Let me be the first to state, I'm not a "gamer" I never was a "gamer" so don't try and categorize me with this new age bullshit. We used to call ourselves "video game players" back in the day, yes, because we "played videogames" we weren't "gaymers" you cunt biscuits. Video game player sounds prestigious for a reason, and rightfully so. But in my honest opinion, I'd much rather not categorize myself as being a "gamer" or a "video game player" but if I had to decide, it would not be "gamer" as it suffers from far too much over exposure once again from "da masses".

And you know what I'm exceptionally sick of "gamers" doing? The moment word of some new japanese role playing game hits the intertron, they all rush to see who can be the first cock gobbler to slap down the ugly mug of some supposed main character of the game onto the avatar of their forum account. I mean, jesus shit cakes man, do you have any idea what you're doing? Every time you utter some dispshittery comment from your fat ass-washed mouth with that character from a game not even released yet people will associate your dumbassery with that character, each and every time you make a post, it adds to it, and adds to it, and so on and so forth. And when the game finally comes out, we can't help but to be reminded of your douche baggery with that little forum avatar you had, with a videogame character from a game not even released yet because you're a myopic turdburgling baboon-faced candy ass who can't fathom the thought of ever being remotely considerate to people who you've never met.

I'm just sick of it, sick of it. Sometimes I even go so far as to block all images with firefox. Yes, that far. I can't stand to see you little shits getting what you want. You know, maybe some day you'll have something to complain about, something real good, I'm almost certain with the way the current direction the videogame industry is going, games you like won't be made anymore. And you won't have the opportunity to post little avatars on your message board, because there will be other little shits doing it to you, and you'll see how I feel. You'll see, and you'll have no one to thank but your own dirty selves. Because I never gave anyone such treatment, and I don't expect the same in return. But what do I get? You don't even have to answer that. I'm completely and utterly disgusted to the point the internet repulses me. You can take your little avatars, and quotes, and "best game evers" and opinions and shove them up your collective asses, into the depths of this manifestation of filth you've created and fester among each other who're liken more to scum then any else. Fester in your cesspool of mediocrity you filthy little humans, you'll have none to come crying to when the only amongst your ranks are "da masses".

Just wondering, what the fuck are you even talking about? I mean, what the hell does your ass think is a videogame? Sure these recent commercial releases have been some real shit, but I don't know if the shittyness of the overcommercialization will ever go away, it seems it will always be there for the commercialheads, but the important part is, will we ever actually start getting real videogames again in the future? You tell me >>2, and state what it is already.

If the industry and demographic cannot so much as acknowledge the importance of different forms of media. They have by far dug a deeper hole then any of us could have imagined. All such things have their place. 3D has it's place as does 2D, as does cel shading, as does cg. Ignore one and the other will imbalance itself. It will become too late to regain the importance we have lost in the process.

The point of "worst thing ever" is to assert an absolute definition that is obviously an opinion and not fact, making the claim less credible.

EVAR is that same as the expression looks too excited, anxious and rushed enough not to type correctly or not being smart enough to recognize proper spelling.

It's a form of self aware satire, so yes, it's meant to look stupid.

no, intelligence is needed to enjoy PA.

Example: http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2002/07/12

I'm a Mac user and can't help but laugh at this. It is 100% true! I do kind of talk to my friends that way. If it weren't intelligently done, it would've been totally offensive.
