Oblivion

TES4 Oblivion lags like no other. I have 1 gig of ram, 2 GHz Athlon 64 3000+, Geforce FX 5500 w/256mb (not the best pc, but it meets recommended requirements), closed all programs, defraged, scandisked, and set EVERY setting I could find in the options to the lowest possible. Is there anything else I can do? I can't move other than laggy 1 frame per 3 seconds, unless I'm in the items menu, which runs fine.

Shit.

I guess my system isn't going to stand a chance. Pity, the game looks amazing.

It's your shitty video card. Got the newest driver? If you're using the one that came with the card YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!

Vidcard sounds like the problem to me.

I'm hoping it'll run ok on my 2.8 P4 wit a gig of ram and a 256MB 9600XT.

I'll (hopefully) get the game in some days.
I have a 256 MB Radeon 9600XT, too. So I'm prepared to play the whole game in 640x480 :)

LoL at the cunts who seriously believe AMD is better for games.

Name: Anonymous 2006-03-22 12:24

That small L2 cache really hit AMD hard

lol at the cunts who REALLY think that hardware of any specific vendor is better for playing games than something from another.

crap video card. also likely less than 2GB of ram which is probably what this game needs.. minimum
also its true, go read some review sites and watch the amd bar score more fps than the intel bar..

That's what I said. You cunt.

recommended requirements are 3ghz and a 6800. You fail.

>>12
It doesn't need much ram, it just needs fast ram. I'm running at 1ghz FSB and it makes a fucking world of difference over my friend's 800mhz.

Check minimum and repost pls
