The problem with RPGs is when you haven't played for over 6 months and no longer remember what your party members were concerned about. There's also the "you missed this because you didn't buy a strategy guide to discover how to get X-calibur" syndrome, which means you could spend seventy hours and only see 80% of the game. I went through FFVIII with three summons and missed the underground base... and have no urge to replay it.

sadly it drives me mad when I don't know what happens in a story of any sort. there's only ever been one book I stopped reading before I finished it, and in a computer game I'd rather cheat my way through quickly to find out what happens than just leave it. I don't have any games that I didn't finish eventually in one way or another. the "need to know what happens" thing is the main reason I'm really pissed about Halo 2. I NEED TO KNOW HOW IT ENDS!!!! damn year-spanning cliffhangers :'(
(please don't let this thread go off into hate of halo 2 now. that wasn't the point of the post.)

FF Tactics
FF 6
Xenosaga
Chrono Cross (never got the true ending)
Einhander
Tales of Destiny II aka Eternia (too hard)
My problem is that for games with a storyline, once I get past the final plot twist and I find out the truth of the main character or whoever the final boss is, etc, and all I have to do is traverse one final dungeon, I stop.

I've never even started any of the final fantasy games, and I've never been interested. I never intend on playing any final fantasy games. does that count?
I got to the part where the world gets screwy and got most of my party members back except Locke and Terra.
The thing is, I haven't touched the game in like 3 years `~`

Me either. Well, except 9. Kuja is too smexy to resist. But the rest of the FF games are retarded, rather play Phantasy Star for the 30th time than start my first FF.
Final Fantasy 7 - Lost my save and the game won't reinstall.
FFTA - LOL CAN'T TOTALLY BEAT IT WITHOUT MULTIPLAYER, but I did finish the storyline, I guess..
Shining Soul II - Yeah for most people, the ROM messes up just as a certain boss enters.
Mario Superstar Saga - Man I was so fucking pissed when this happened, but same error as Shining Soul II, the game fucking freezes and there's nothing that can be done about it.

I got to the crater descent near the end in FFVII, and my stupid little brother wiped the memcard. Game was so mediocre I didn't even want to waste my time playing through it. (Although rofling at impaled aeris was pretty worthwhile)
FFVI was the last Final Fantasy worth playing.
Actually, I think the last game I played all the way through was MGS3, (don't count it, though, as that was on Easy, I still need to do it on very hard or whatever it's called) and before that Morrowind. (Well, sort of. I beat the final boss, and the damn game wouldn't acknowledge it.)
