What are some more recent retail games that need to be avoided despite their cool box art? For example: Red Ninja - End of Honor

Mario All Star baseball or whatever the fuck it's called. Nintendo did ok with the tennis and golf, but the Soccer and baseball Mario games suck arse. He really should just stick to platforming and exterminating the last few dinosaurs.

I meant any games from the current or next generation. Unless you like music games anything by NIS cause it has animu and think boobs = quality. At which point you should go back to the penny arcade forum and stay with the gabe and tychow

I feel the same way about SaGa... they have to be worth at least playing once, right?
BTW, SaGa Frontier 2 is supposed to be a great game, marred by being a sequel to crap.

SaGa Frontier 2 is a love it or hate it game.
Just like the rest of the SaGa series apparently.
BTW is Romancing SaGa on the PS2 any good?

I hear it sucks unless you played FFL on gameboy, in which case it is a better game. Sort of like Sword of Mana kicking more ass if you've played FFA.

FFL 1 (SaGa 1) was awesome.
You could kill the last boss with the saw (which was a one-hit kill weapon) :D

wait, those final fantasy legends games actually have something to do with the saga frontier type games?
those gameboy ones where you can eat meat and mutate your characters into something else and stuff?
those games were awesome, wtf happened with saga ones?

and then they ruined the series when they brought it to the super famicom, the rest is history, but the US branch took the battle system and fixed it into a vastly better game than the other two, known as Secret of Evermore and also boasts a vastly superior music arrangement than the two super famicom sagas

I disagree, the series did fine on the Super Famicom.
