Rogues are really REALLY fun. Great 1 vs 1 characters. Just chose a faction/race that you think you'd enjoy. (Undead rogues are really good.)

How about other effective classes? Its abit of a broad question, i know.. im just looking for the best character for me. I see myself soloing most of the time but i also want something thats good in parties too (i'll play with a friend every now and then). I'd prefer aliance too because the friend is aliance on pvp server x__X

Undead Rogue looks tempting though. How do Rogues fair verses Hunters? Im hoping well because if i can party with my friend, i'll have to kick his ass instead!

Hunters and Warlocks are good for soloing, since they have pets it's like two people fighting for the price of one.  If you're going to be a hunter, I'd suggest being Night Elf (good Christ I hate NE Hunters).  The NEs have their shadowmeld skill that combines nicely with aimed shot in PVP.

I think Hunters work better in groups than Warlocks do, but I don't know why I think that.

If you do a Priest right, you'll be tripping over groups.  You'll have people 10 levels higher than you inviting you to instances you've never heard of, while you're already in an instance.  Soloing is a bit of a pain in the ass until you get some good skills from the Shadow branch.  I can't say much about Holy Priests, I never tried playing one.

Rogues are fun to play if you like soloing.  By the time you get to level 35+ you should have lots of practice in saying things like "35 rogue lfg anything."  They're a dime a dozen.  Hunters seem to be the big thing for a PVP group Rogue to worry about, due to the Hunter's Mark skill that let's everyone and their mother see a stealthed Rogue.

Pallys are a good strong class if you like Alliance. they're strong, so they can be used as tanks if you really want, but they also have all those useful healing abilities if you decide you want to be a healer. Pallys are also very god against (NPC)undead and demons because of Exorcise and all that holy damage. it's a pity anti-undead spells don't work on player undead tho, because that would make pallys nigh unstoppable in PVP.

As it is Pallies are nigh unstoppable.  They don't do shit for damage, but you sure as fuck can't 2 shot them.

I do plenty of fucking damage when I've got a two handed sword/axe.

Against squishies maybe.  Shamans and Warriors are laughing at you behind your back.

Closest I got to beating a shammie with my paladin was after a two hour fight using every cooldown I had. In the end the shammie beat me. Yay for mana regen though.

priests rule!

priests are good until the rogues figure out that they have to back away before the stun wears off.

lol no, I can beat any shaman/warrior 1vs1 without even having to heal

Rogues make money easily, are great at everything early levels but begin to suck later on.  You'll still be topping the damage charts in PvE but EVERYTHING in PvP becomes a nightmare to kill if the players aren't braindead.  You'll need the BEST equipment to take out most of the people you find, compare this to a new 60 shadow priest that can walk into a battleground still wearing crap gear and top the scoreboard.  But it's not like that's the focus of BGs anyway.

>>5

You're not going to be supporting much as a rogue, if you want something that can solo well and still be able to support try out a druid or warlock, the talent build decides how good you'll do in anything.

>>9

You do plenty of damage compared to what?  A resto druid whacking a mob with a staff? I'm not trying to insult you or the class, that's just the truth.

>>13

What priest?  What spec?  What race?  If an undead shadow priest throws devouring plague, sw:pain and vampiric embrace on the rogue, the rogue only going to live if they can blind, sprint, prep, sprint, chug a pot and vanish.  If the priest has their trinket up it's over before it starts (this assuming they both know how to play).

Probably the same dead with a disc/holy priest after the talent changes.

In conclusion, play every class until you find what you like.

I'm thinking of waiting for the expansion and starting as an expansion race (Blood Elves).  Though it might not be worth waiting to start just for that.

Don't change these.
