Clueless-newbie GBA question

Name: Anonymous 2006-03-03 16:46

I just got my 2nd GBA game ever.

The first one was the ever-awesome SMB3, which I have almost finished, with great struggle (I'm midway through level 8.) SMB3 for GBA has 3 "save slots", which by the way is what enabled me to reach such high levels.

My question to you game gurus: if I take the SMB3 cartridge out to try the new game, will I lose my precious savings?

I'm sorry if this seems a stupid question to you (either way), but I don't have a clue.

As long as you turn the GBA off first you should be fine.  You don't have to hold reset and hit power like in the old days.

So the saved games stay in the cartridge and survive being taken out
that's great, thanks

I lost all my Zelda data by not holding reset.  Make sure you hold it in for at least a second before hitting power.

Don't change these.
