Yeah, I need help to get the perfect ending in Doukutsu Monogatari (Cave Story)... I got to the point where I defeated the core, got away with Sue (Toroko has died, I think. She just dissapeared), but Curly is still in Core's previous home. All the other Mimiga's are in the chopper with Sue's mother and Itoh, while me, Sue and Kazumi are flying with the dragon... What is the perfect ending? Can curly be saved? Need some help, since they aren't telling me how it should end (I mean, I also ended it by escaping with Kazumi on his dragon without helping the others).

Same guy: I am now looking through all the images in the data folder (the .PBM files can be viewed as image files) and there are so many things I haven't seen yet... One thing is the avatar for sue being a normal female human.. There are also some other avatars I have never seen in game. Have I done the wrong thing at the end? Need a doukutsu expert :(

when you fight the core with sue. go to the lower right hand coorner of the room. you'll see an item sparkeling on the ground, get it. it's the "tow rope" after the fight, examine sues body, and attach it to yours with the tow rope. then, when in the water-maze like place afterwards, there'll be a room that you can acess with a chest containing a missle +5. rest in the bed. sue will stay on the bed. go to the computer. read it. go to the bookshelf, read the book on draining waterlogged robots. then do that, and examine sue again, (it may take up to 3 times.) when the game asks if you want to leave her on the bed, or take her with you, take her along.
when you get to the outer wall, go into the "clock room"(it just looks like a piece of wall with fence next to it, it's kind of hidden) get the chest in there. if it opens you've done everything right so far.
after that, play the game until the final boss fight. after the fight, when the island is falling apart, then go in the save house before the throne room.. if the door is open, then you did it right.
then, save, play the timed stage that happens after that, and there is a boss at the end, so try and conserve health.
