There's been plenty of times that a book I've read has enough detail and elements that could be used in a video game, whether it be an open ended RPG, plot driven RPG, action RPG, RTS, TBS, FPS, third person action, sidescrolling shooter, adventure, or anything. What books or book series have you read and thought they would make a cool game?

I always thought a Fallout "Canticle for Leibowitz" conversion would be awesome, but it would obviously have to be story-driven, an adventure game, not action.

Book => VideoGame conversions, as a general rule, suck. I wouldn't mind a turn-based wargame version of (insert your favorite high fantasy here), though. I'm always in favor of a good turn-based strategy.
IMHO, the old PC flight sim Megafortress was a fun bomber game, and the Flight of the Old Dog scenario was somewhat faithful to Dale Brown's book. It's probably abandonware by now.

Neuromancer, even though countless movies, novels, and games have put itself in the same universe.
Oliver Twist in the style of Grand Theft Auto and Postal. I hate Dickens and I hope this makes him toss around in his grave.
