Help me out here:

Is the headphone jack normal, or is it funky custom like the GBA SP?

Does it have built-in wifi or do I need some external hardware?

Regarding wifi, is there the possibility of Nintendo offering free software to download using it? Like a game preview or something? Or instead of serving content, is it only for peer-to-peer connections in 2p/4p/whatever games.

When playing a GBA game on it, is the screen scaled up to fit? Or centered in the middle? Does it looks like shit or not? I have a lot of GBA games that I intend to play on the DS, but if the GBA display is too small or whatever to see in the midst of the DS's larger screen, then that would suck.

headphone jack is normal. wifi is built in. nintendo doesn't seem interested in doing anything but bare-bones multiplayer with their online service. you can put the GBA game on either screen, and the image is centered in the middle with small black bars. looks just fine.

Why do they always have to learn 2 consoles too late?

Don't change these.
