NO U

And BTW, Revolution will be my favourite, followed closely by X-Box 360, but they are all good consoles. The only bad thing about PlayStation is usually shit-loads of 'tarded games are let through the big net. Same with any console you could say, but with PS, it seems to be a magnified problem.

Name: Anonymous 2005-11-21 23:10

Sir Howard said the PS3 will sell for $300 to $400 and
will come with a bundle of games, movies, and TV shows, many of which Sony also makes.
The question is whether the titles will be bundled on Blu-ray DVD discs or on a built-in hard drive

Awesome. So you already know which system you'll like best? I made that mistake twice (first with the N64 - I'd later learn that I <3'd the PSX much more, and later with the PS2. Got me an XBOX and never looked back), and don't plan on making it again.

Name: Anonymous 2005-11-22 17:52

Let's see.

XBox 360: I got it and regret it none. The interface is comfortable and the games are great for Launch Titles. Plus the controller's awesome. Power supply's huge though, but I can deal.

Revolution: Oh yes. I must get this. The controller may be teh remotz lol, but I still see great capability with it and Nintendo has yet to truly disappoint me. Plus, backwards compatibility for the win.

PS3: Not really sure, but I know that 500 dollars is a nono for now and the controller looks uncomfortable. Besides that, I don't have enough information to form an opinion.

Name: Anonymous 2005-11-22 20:48

You've had your XBOX 360 for how long?  Come on, it's kind of moot to say "I regret it none" if it still has that fresh and shiny new toy status.

Name: Anonymous 2005-11-22 22:57

I meant to say "So far, I regret it none". Sorry, I'm still getting used to this board system.

I guess that works for people who have over $1,000 to spend on consoles alone. Not counting games, additional controllers, so on. :P

Purchasing a Nintendo Revolution.

Name: Anonymous 2005-12-05 12:36

I'm going with Nintendo this time; Sony is full of shit, like usual. I'm sure they're going to have some great games, but it's not worth it to me.

Also, Microsoft is a joke.

Name: Anonymous 2005-12-08 21:07

Getting a revolution for sure. Might get a PS3, but definitely not at launch.
No way I'm getting a 360.

NIGGA STOLE MY LINE!

Name: Anonymous 2005-12-12 9:10

Cool people buy all of them =P

Nintendo's console is going to blow compared to the rest of them. It's not even as good as the old Xbox right?

Name: Anonymous 2005-12-12 16:42

People with too much money do.
And if you're dumb enough to think it's less good for gaming because it's less powerful, then I seriously don't want you to buy it, what with the online functions.

Name: Anonymous 2005-12-12 22:33

Better than the Xbox, hah.

We don't even know what type of video chipset it runs off of, but I'm sure we'll see in time.  Also, there's supposedly one more secret about this controller, according to Miyamoto.  Ah, tingly sensation!  I hope it's really something special. :)

Its good if you want to play last generations games, which I do. On the original consoles. I don't need nintendo telling me I don't need advanced stuff because their old stuff should be good enough for me. Theres a time and a place for classic games, and it ain't with new consoles. There is more than one type of fun, like the type that comes with being able to have a 64 player, super immersive, true to life battle. Or with playing a high speed racing game with great crashes, fantastic gameplay and realistic physics. To be honest, I prefer 2D fighers, shmups and music games the most out of all games. Doesn't mean that I shouldn't have the option to play amazingly technically advanced games too as well as having an all in one media center. The Xbox 360 and the PS3 I'm sure will have many classic style games, I don't want limits set on me by Nintendo.

Also, if you don't want people who think this to buy it then you are wishing a great death on nintendo, as the only people who refuse to see the logic of what I said are just rabid Nintendofags who can't see past Miyamotos cock.

Besides, I would bet my lifes savings and everything I own upon the PS3 completely TROUNCING the "Revolution". Even if it was technically better (which it isn't), Nintendo's name is shit with anyone who isn't nintendo's bitch. (Yes, of course the only place where the Revolution will sell more than the 360 is in Japan...)

But, please tell me how the "Revolution" will win out and bankrupt sony and microsoft, and pull back. :) I eagerly await.

No, its not.

http://lostgarden.com/2005/09/nintendos-genre-innovation-strategy.html

Obviously Sony and Microsoft have a foothold on the more casual side of gaming. Nintendo is therefore aiming for a different market: those not sold on gaming.

A common complaint with those who haven't been playing video games for years on end is that controllers are too confusing, with too many buttons and no easy way to get accustomed to it. This controller is noticeably more simple, lessening the buttons and probably making it easier for anyone to get into it.

Nintendo have made every innovation in controllers for just about every feature: shoulder buttons, trigger buttons, rumble, analog stick, wireless, hell, even the d-pad. Gamecube shaped up to be a transition to revolution: the bigger A button emphasized a shift towards simpler play control (though it made many games harder to play), where more things could be done with less buttons. This transition leads to Revolution where potentially everything lies in a lesser amount of buttons, relying more on actions and other methods of control.

Also concerning graphics, the Revolution's technology has not been solidified yet, and its abilities are not yet fully shown. It's not the paint you use to make a painting, it's how you use it.

An all-in-one media center is nice, but I would prefer to purchase DVD players and such separately so that I decide what features are in the player, not my console system maker.

>>67 It's not the paint you use to make a painting, it's how you use it.

I like this, except I would expand on this analogy by saying that Sony and Microsoft have a full pallette of paint, whereas nintendo have a crayola "My first paints" paintbox. Which creates a better masterpiece???

Name: Anonymous 2005-12-14 20:37

nintendo have a crayola "My first paints" paintbox.

Basis for this assertion?

Well, with that logic, then movie makers and musicians all "tell" people what they want. If an artist wants to make some kind of new music genre, then he'll try to do that. If a producer has a new idea for a film that's never been done before, then he'll try to do that. Of course you need some fan reception and input to form a successful entertainment product, but if you just listen to people around you to form a conclusion on what to make, then you're just being a tool for them.

If you don't think for yourself, then who will?

Name: Onagiri 2005-12-14 21:29

Eh, we can all argue whos better but in my own opinion Nintendo games are just more fun. They are just have that weirdo-Japanese game feeling that you can only get from playing Nintendo games (or Katamari Damacy). Not saying I'm not going to play Playstation games or anything but I just like Nintendo games better. Although where it counts (Japan) Nintendo has a much better hold on the market then Xbox.

You must've mistaken me for some other Anonymous. I say that the graphics aren't important enough to tip the balance of which console to buy. But if you think they are in fact that important, then my insult applies.
