god guildwars is horrible.
Its fun for about a week.
A week is aproximately how much time to you need to max your character, and aquire all the best weapons, and learn all their is to know about PvP (whoever has the better healers wins, its that simple)
Then you realize how incredibly shallow the pve AND the pvp is, and you say "damn I wasted X dollars" and move on.

Magicks Acerbus or Magicks Subvenios (guess what their primary classes they are)

you fail so unbelievably hard. Find yourself a good clan (1200+ rating) and try some gvg. If you don't have a proper plan and teamwork there, you are screwed so badly.
My guess is you haven't even played it for a week, but instead tried it once or twice at a friends, getting pissed because you were just to much of a crappy player to win at something else than random team arena.

Making a good team is hilariously hard.
One week? I see some truly hard-core gamers still testing and refining numerous character and team builds, and they started in the early betas. To be good is hard, and if you think otherwise it's because you're just another poor player.
That's just the way it is. It's no longer enough to just level.

Small question if anyone out there has any experience, how does Guild Wars run (if at all) through Cedega or Wine?

GW runs just fine on Cedega 4.4.3 for me, but I can't play PvE (not a problem for me, I never play PvE). Anytime I try to go to an instance (PvE), the game dies. But I can PvP all day and night with no problems.

Does anybody have any info on the new asassin class? I wonder if it will have any invisibility skills? ...Oooh! Imagine combining that with the death magic of a necromancer! Being able to create hordes of minions while remaining un-targetable. :)

How is this new class going to affect the balance of the game?

Closet manga + hentai doujinshi fan but don't tell him I told you so...
Thunderhead keep is a pain. The parts leading up to the fort aren't that bad - just plain PvE; Keep your casters back, let the tanks tank, control aggro, and you'll be fine. The fort part is a bit harder because without a decent plan/communication things break down and mobs go after the king.
The biggest problem is that there are two entrances to the fort that you have to defend. That means you either have to fight the mobs after they converge, or split up to fight the mobs. Usually I find that splitting is better, but you have to build the team for it. Trappers are good - they can drop traps on the bridge over the entrance gate, and the traps will launch down on mobs going under the bridge. Also, they will be in position to launch the catapults. You will need 2 warriors tanking - one for each side. Getting 3 monks for this mission is a pain, although if you do you can pretty much power through anything - 3 monks in PvE is rediculous. 1 life bond monk + 2 healing monks (preferably both with heal party - the range on that makes it especially good for this mission) should work out well. With 2 monks you should still be O.K., you can still split easily enough. Try to avoid monk/ele, monk/ranger, and monk/warrior - if you must take one, interrogate them to make sure they won't suck. These class combinations are rare for a reason - they suck.
It is also possible to do missions with no monks. The trick is to run all warriors and rangers and bring lots of healing spring, healsig, troll unguent, etc. I haven't done it personally, but I know someone who claims to have done the last 3 missions with a party like that.
Thanks for the advice but I'm a Mes/Nec and it's hard enough has it is. I'm not sure if anyone here notices but there's barely any monks there half the time and half the time, the ones that are there suck. =0 I've tried doing it with henchies and I actually get further than I do w/ real players but I get mauled when the final boss appears. Sigh, maybe I'll just get a run to the next section?
Mesmer is a pain to play in PvE, only play it if you are a masochist =^). The benefits you get from having a mesmer primary happen well after the initial flurry, but in PvE, the initial flurry means dead mobs.
IIRC, the final boss runs around one side of the fort, then runs back to the other or something like that.
Also, you MUST beat Thunderhead Keep in order to proceed in the storyline. Just like you have to beat Sanctum Cay in order to go to amnoon oasis.
lol guild wars is a really intense and high kill based game with strong PVP and PVE element. team work is essential. this game just get more and more fun as u play and move on to GW2 in the near future!
