Hey. I'm thinking of getting a PSP tomorrow, they're selling them for $220.00 bucks at Fry's Electronics last I heard. I wanted to ask... is there any reason I should put off buying one right now? Perhaps a significant price drop that's coming really soon? Or perhaps someone has heard of a (in)significant PSP hardware change that they're going to introduce? If their next price drop is only going to be to $200.00, then I'm thinking of picking it up anyways, getting Lumines, waiting for The Legend of Heroes, and sticking an SNES emulator on it.
4chan, plz halp.

hey if i get a new one now do i still have to worry about dead pixels?
I'd say wait until the PS3 comes out. With all the cross-functionality that they're supposed to share, you can bet that they'll do a promo price, especially if you buy them both in a package. Besides, there's no really great games out for PSP anyway.
PRO TIP: Since most game stores will kick down the prices on new systems if you trade in the old one + 10 non-sports games, invest in bargain-bin PS2 games, one or two a week, and you can hand over Unlimited SaGa, Tokyo Extreme Racer 3, DMC, GT3 A-Spec, etc.
