I have a Matrix-chip in my PS2, I own about 40 games and all of them are pirated. Discuss.

Man, I can't find any local shops willing to install one. The only one who would is the most awesome, shadiest video game store owner on earth, who lives 1500 miles from me. I'd rather not fuckup a sauder job, so I guess paying extra shipping is the only option.

People are willingly going towards the Matrix now? Well so be it, if you cannot embrace the love of The Rave, you are simply an inferior being. *sighs dejectedly*

I have a boot cd, but I only use it for imports.
Piracy is evil, people!

I buy the stuff the i like
How many people actually do that though, once they have a pirate copy?
Hey, I pirate too, but I don't try to rationalize my actions.

I had the old 'Honey bee' for nes imports and that big ass tank with the floppy disk drive that you stick on top of the snes and genesis. I'm worried that ps3 may have good antimod since that cell technology seems to hook your ps3 online 100% of the time.

Studies have shown that the people who pirate the most buy more games, music and movies than other people.
xecuter 2.3 in my Xbox and DMS4 in my ps2. And yet, I still buy games I love - support the things that give you entertainment!

I had a premod job done with a DMS3 by some guy in Kentucky or Tennessee, I forget which. I found him on the DMS3.com forums. DO NOT GET YOUR PS2 CHIPPED BY THIS GUY. He botched the job; the first time I got the PS2, it stopped playing audio after five minutes, then it wouldn't play either burned discs or legit ones. I sent it back and it works OK about 75% of the time for burned discs; after that, it's hit-or-miss and it won't play burned discs for a few hours after that. Also, it plays absolutely zero imports. /me wants Initial D Special Stage... ;-;
I am so paying a good chunk of money for a better one in the future. >_< Besides, Comcast sucks for Bittorrent, so it'll be a bitch to download any games.

Who cares? you can get an old used one for under 100 bucks and just replace the fliptop again.

I personally never buy any videogame and i alwase download my games. Most of the games are crap nowadays that can be beaten pretty quickly. All the others (like maybe..10 a year for ps2) still get pretty boring after a while. 40 bucks for a videogame is a ripoff. I'de rather take the 40 bucks a month for my internet and the 25cents for the dvd.

I don't have a modchip, but my XBox is indeed mod'd .. i used the Splinter Cell save game exploit, and now my XBox is running XBMC. It's pretty nifty, but it has a terribly small amount of free space. 4GB ... just enough for one game, or a mediocre amount of 700MB movies.

Magic KVx+ in my PS2 v12 (and still works)
X3 in the Xbox. Which I haven't seen in over half a year because my brother has it :(
I have a modded Xbox because the crap game to good game ratio is astoundingly high. Out of all the copied games I have, most go right into the trash and only a few are keepers. I'm not going to blame M$, but you really have to wonder what the cause is.
As for the PS2, I buy all the PS2 games I own and don't want a modchip. Though it would be nice for playing PS1 backups.
