I just finished Terranigma and am now left with a pervasive and powerful sense of sorrow, something beyond the typical "lol you finished this RPG" emotion, heightened by the fact that Ark dies in the end. Will I feel better if I play Illusion of Gaia?

Would Soul Blade/Illusion of Gaia/Terranigma work as a trilogy collection like Arc the Lad?

Soul Blaze... or Blader. Or bladder.

Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma are all together a Trilogy.
And I still had to beat terranigma, but whatever, knowing Ark FUCKING DIES should'nt ruin the ending too much for me, since I'm still trapped in sand-nigger hell (AKA Town of zombies in the middle of the desert wasteland) And I already found the hidden Quintet building anyways, which was fun to see the creators thrust themselves into the game as NPCs.

Not exactly sand nigger hell, since it's really the Chinese side of the silk road, look at the architecture.
Go to Meilin's room, and pick upi the scarf on the floor. Then go find her dog Turbo in the cemetary, use the scarf, and the dog will lead you to a suit of armor that you can't attack. Meilin pops out, gets pissed off because you ruined her mirage, then the ghosts of her parents talk to her and she kills off all the zombies.
