My Battlefield 2 games are VERY sluggish. If I leave textures on High, my hard drive is thrashing for almost the ENTIRE match, making it impossible for me to even simply turn around without having the textures load.
Thing is, I thought my system was quite adequete for this:
Athlon 64 3400+ at 2.36 ghz
Geforce 6800 GT 380/1.12
1 gig of RAM, my HTT is at about 218 or so, limited because of my RAM, but I wouldn't think this is terrible RAM.
PLENTY of cooling
Is there simply something wrong with my system, or is this more of a horrible case of an inefficiently coded engine? With a 6800 GT, I really should've be getting anything lower than 60 fps, but even when my disk ISN'T thrashing, I sometimes can dip into the 20-30s. WHY??
