Capcom's out of 2D (and probably 3d) fighting games. On the other side of things, SvC turned out really bad and tanked. It's extremely unlikely.

SvC wasn't HORRIBLE... but damn... Yeah I don't think we'll see SvC: Disorderly Conduct! anytime soon...

SvC: Match of the Millenium is great. We need another handheld SvC.

SvC needed some serious play-testing. SNK just put it out there as it was, seemingly put together at random, and the arcade scene broke it in a week (a week in which the machine here had huge crowds, but still a week). It not only killed the game competitively, but gave the game a lot of early bad word-of-mouth. When it got down to the casual players, the awful reputation was already established. This is probably why SNK's had all their recent releases location testing for so long...

yeah, same story here. The machine was hella popular for 2 weeks... and then it just died. Most of the game ran off the "YES Capcom VS SNK--SNK STYLE!!" hype...
Sorta like "YES STREET FIGHTER IN 3D!!". Actually... Nevermind. I don't think the EX machines EVER had a crowd (that I seen).

Ehh
I've heard Capcom saying "we wont make fighting game any more".
They're working on Street Fighter 2 1/2. Seriously.

The sad thing is... if they DID make a SFII with high res sprites and smoother animation... I would BUY IT. YES I AM A SF WHORE. KILL ME KILL ME NOW...
