This is kind of a shot in the dark but I don't suppose anyone else is playing or has played Gurumin, the recent Falcom game? (Makers of Ys series).
The pure 3D environment like Ys 6 isn't so bad but fuck, I hate jumping games in 3D. I'm already bad enough at it in 2D, nevermind adding another dimension to make it worse. There's this lava pit level where you have to cross via small platforms and I died literally twenty times.
At least with Ys 6, most of the jump puzzles were limited to bonus stuff.
