I just warezerized this game and played it through in one night
I thought it was pretty good, clearly short... shorter than halflife2 atleast, the last game I played
I got annoyed with having to play nurse to my squad, I like loneranger style fps... but sometimes when I set them up right it was sortof cool to have a sniper shooting stuff before I did, I guess they try to combine strategy game with shooter game.. is ok, very cinema experience like lucasarts does.. realy good starwards music
The weapons were ok I guess.. nothing really stood out, i loved that handgun you can charge with the ammo that never runs out, I'd run right up to those huge droids and shoot them in the face with it and their head plate things would pop off.. then the squad would stay behind me and shoot up all the headless wandering droids
Using the sniperrifle to shoot the laser scanner off the back of the spidertank droids so tehy cant see and then running right up to their face to shoot their redeye was fun... it would notice me after a few shots and charge up its hugeass cannon, but just before it fired i strafed left realquick like noteven 1 foot... it totally missed and sometimes it blew up its own guys who were coming to get me from behind... good times
Killing the big droids with turrets was also fun, and hitting those mercinary guys in their jetpack tank thing was awesome.. the tanks blow up and send them rocketting into the ceiling, outdoors I would only aim for those tankpacks with the sniper rifle.. theyd blast clear off screen like 5 in a row, if I missed and hit them in the head by accident I'd shoot the tanks after they were dead when we got to that area... the squad says 'wheeeeeeee' when u do it alot
So like yeah... now I'm out of games ;( who can recommend good fps shooter thing thats not ut or halflife of doom or this starwards commando game?
