GameFAQs is a shitty ass website. Their staff blows (with a few notable exceptions). The only reason they're still around is because they've become the defacto place for video game guides. Somebody hacked my 400+ karma account, and when the verification email didn't work, they just ignored me. Their mods are the worst part though, all powerhungry losers who don't care about anything other than pissing off the users.
