Since Arcade games are meant to be ridiculously hard or require trial and error memorization, what have you been able to beat successfully? How many times did you play it before?

Most of Capcom's VS. series, save for CvS2.
Most of the Tekkens...and a bunch I don't recall at the moment.
Most recently, Mr. Driller (5000ft. Mode) and Raiden Fighters Jet.

One-crediting single-player fighting games don't count, because it's so goddamn easy. Unless they're the US version of Super SF2 Turbo on max difficulty, in which case you are an AI-exploiting champion, and I salute you.
Time Crisis 1 I know by heart, from my younger days. I can one-credit that game any time.
I've never one-credited any shooter but Psyvariar, and one-crediting the easy path on Psyvariar is not tough.

The origional Metal Slug, with 80-90% of the POWs. I have yet to attempt this with MS2 or 3.

DDR <any>.
Other than that, none. I don't go to the arcade enough.
If your emphasis was on Buzzing, then you win big time.
If your emphasis was on survival, hmm. Bah, still a win.
1CCing a shoot-em-up can be taxing as fuck though :/

I've beat some old games on 1 credit. Dunno if it's worth babbling about.
Goonies - The first game I've ever beat on one credit.
Altered Beast - Memorize and timing was key.
Golden Axe - 2 words: Jump attack.
Alpha Mission 2 - Luck plays into it since the ship parts you want appear in random locations.
Magic Sword - I could beat this going from floor 1 all the way to the top. The theif rocks. Game can be tough depending on what companion you trying to beat it with.

Violent Storm.
If you haven't played it yet, you must. Konami can be so utterly ridiculous when they want to be. I guess the best way to sum it up is Final Fight Parodius. <3 Red Fredy. Also totally totally <3 the fat guys.

Nightstriker...Then again the game is simple enough for an infant even on hard. It's just cool is all. I still remember the sit-down machine it was on, kind of like the Afterburner one.
I also recently managed to beat the Gigawings on one credit each.

Hey Nightstriker was pretty rare. Where did you find it?
Have you played Galactic Storm too?

It was at a Major Magic's here almost 10 years ago. Early '97 it closed for good and they sold the machines to collectors through eBay and some other auction houses. Didn't have the money to get it at the time.
Is Galactic Storm the one where there's a shield in the corner that continually counts down from I think 5000? And it's mostly in space?

Strider and Samurai Shodown II. The former takes a lot of replays to get the strategy down. For SS2 you can just use Charlotte's jumping triangle slash thingy over and over. In fact with enough POW you can get the top best times easy (round over in 2-4 seconds if hits are well placed)
