Growlanser

so anyone play this yet? its sorta like a watered down final fantasy tactics. its got its faults (not much was done to improve this remake, so you can feel the age) but its still enjoyable

i also find hillarious that all the characters were desighned by a hentai artist... so not only do all the males in the game appear to be so pretty bishounen that it questions your sexuality, but even all the cute girls have these innocent looking eyes that plead 'please dont rape me' (i have the artists compiled book which illustrates all the female characters, so every time i got a new female party memeber i could never take her seriously as i would think 'heh i've seen you naked)

Saw this in Gamestop yesterday. Why the hell is this game $80?

Hilarious Working Designs extras, of course.

Ah, ok. I only saw it on the shelf as a dvd case and I'm thinking they want $80 for a plain ol game?

Game itself is $50.

 This is exactly why I don't buy Working Designs games anymore. It's cool when you add a soundtrack CD or whatnot, but unless the extras are unique or practical(like a 6-inch figure, or an artbook), it's pointless to include them.

 I mean, come ON, a wristwatch? If that isn't grasping at straws for bonus material, I don't know what is.

huh and i thought you only got a t shirt. but the games themselves do have an unlockable sound test so that pretty kills the need for a soundtrack cd

You get a wristwatch, soundtrack CD as well as a ring based off the ring system in the game. Might be one more thing, I can't seem to remember.

just wanted to mention that i finished growlanser 2. i'm sad to say that the ending was really dissapointing. i mean really how can they call it an ending when its about 4 lines of text that describe the ending. ah well i have to say though the game was still fun with its little h game element of pic your female partner to end up with (or even pick your male partner if you're into that type of thing)

growlanser 3 better have a decent ending >_>  (its supposebly the better of the two games story wise and gameplay wise)
