The annoying slug that shoots the balls which roll down is annoying. If he direct hits then he deals full damage, but if he overshoots slightly the balls roll downhill toward the enemy and he hits anyway.

Gunbound is a fun game, but has a massive population of total retards playing it unfortunately. Its worse than public CS servers full of hax using 12 year olds.
I'll second that. The game is ruined by two things: 1) hacks, 2) cash items. I used to like the game, until they introduced the cash items...

GB was fun for about...a year and very quickly started to decline with each new update and each new influx of total morons. Because of these morons, the game lost its charm it once had. Nobody plays for the sake of playing anymore, they play to gain mass amounts of nonexistant wealth the fastest/easiest way possible.
The common item setup for most rooms when I began playing in August 2003 was all items or dual/dual+, teleport, thunder, big/small heal. Now it's rare to find rooms without the dual/dual+ only setup.
Softnyx hasn't touched the actual game mechanics in months, either. What's been broken for months is STILL broken. On the other hand, they have 20+ new avatars you can buy with cash.

I like this game because it remind me so much of the old Worms, and 12 would like to know I use only Dual. anything is cheap, being able to figure out hard angles and succesfully doing them makes the game fun. (to me)

Apparently the correct way to play is to get a boomer and make every single shot a high angle, long distance reverse direction ZOMG LEET SKILZ shot.
I always got a heal, a teleport and a dual. I would heal as soon as I needed to, teleport whenever someone was in a better posistion than me, and dual shotgun whenever I had the opportunity. People hated me for that.

What people don`t seem to understand is that any... ANY strategy is fair. If the game lets you do it (read: no bots, no hacks) it is FAIR GAME.
Your strategy of dual shotgunning? Completely okay. Crazy ass boomer shots? Okay. High angle into the wind vertical drop nak shots (my personal favorite)? Okay. Playing random just so you can get the dragon and MAUL the utter hell out of everyone else? Okay.
People seem to complain an awful lot about people using common strategies. If you don`t like it, find a counter. There`s always a counter. I`m going to throw my hat in and agree with >>17. People need to just chill out and play the damn game.
They do that in so many games though. I've been playing a lot of Tribes 2 recently and half the game is people complaining about shrike whores, chain whores, farmers, osnipers, cloaked pussies etc etc
A rule from fighting games is that the bad player's definition of "cheap" is whatever they can't beat.

I believe everything in the game is fair and all that crap but the one thing I hate is someone over metal axe who used mage. I mean, if you think about it, there is absolutely no strategic shots that can be made with a mage save high ones. its attacks are: single shot, double shot and a random damage ss.

the Mage SS is meant to be used on any sheild type. If not sheild then it will not do much damage. If it is a sheild type ya hit then it doesn't even need to be a direct hit to do the damage.
