Izayoi no Hanayome (Night Bride) CG questions

I just downloaded a torrent of

I already had a folder of the same game's CG named by it's English translation of Night Bride

The Izayoi folder lacks start/finish screens.
The Night Bride folder HAS them but has fewer pictures-
because some of the pix are double wide 2048x768

So which one is the definitive version? I also have an 800x600 set of only 728 pix containing no startup/finish but WITH double wide pix AARRGGH!!

Wow! That's one dilemma you got there.

Keep the best versions of both. Run a duplicate image checker.

Just remember that a larger filesize is not guarantee of higher quality. JPEG seems to break down at higher filesizes/rez ratios and comes up with some damn annoying artifacts.

I ran UniqueFiler on all folders. Now I am even more confused!! As expected, UF found multiple dupes in each folder. But the latest torrent has unique pix missing in both sets with the double pix. I am going to have to go through each set with a fine tooth comb!!

Even with different file sizes, the 1024x768 pictures are all pretty much equal in quality although UniqueFiler finds about 25 points of difference when comparing them side by side.

Thanx for the tip, at least I am on the right track toward creating my own definitive set. Once I am done, I will keep old sets but make a new one combining the best of each, with combined files specially labeled...so that there will be yet ANOTHER version LOL!!

Oop, I misspoke. UF was finding the differences between the 800x600 and 1024x768 pix. The big pix match up perfectly, except for the file names, of course...and double-wide pix...and extra pix in the small set excluding missing start/end game screens etc. which ARE in the other set  ;)
