FF8 and FF3(US)!
Some day I hope to play FF7 again. It has been far too long.
Although people often dislike the newer ones, I still love them. I tend to enjoy more simple graphics for all other games, but I have always enjoyed any Final Fantasy graphics.

Okay as if you couldn't tell, I'm not much of a 日本人。:P Anyway, I love FF, though I must admit I've only played FFIII and FFVII-FFX. FFXI just seems like some MMORPG with Chocobos and monthly fees are the bane of my existence. But I am SO looking forward to FFXII. :D

I love the FF games, even though they don't offer as much flexibility in controlling story/character direction as some other RPGs (or especially real dice and character sheets RPGs). Though some, like Tactics, did provide much more flexibility in customizing your character through the job system.
Anyway. I tend to really like the storylines and characters in FF games. Even if I don't really like the main characters that much, they usually have really neat side characters that I get really attached to. And they do often have great systems--FFX's system is, indeed, a thing of beauty. Plus, the cutscenes are gorgeous and I usually find the storylines engaging.
In short, yes, I love FF series games. My favorites so far are VI (US III) and VII.

loved ffvi/iii and ffix. ffx had a neat concept and AWFUL everything-else (the fmvs were great of course) imo. wasnt much for the other installments, especially ffviii.

My favorite FF games are FFT, FF7, and FF6. I love those to death.. the rest I didn't really care for.

Chronotrigger and FF5, 6, & 7 got me inro rpgs at first, but then I found Fallout, Elder Scrolls, and more recently the KOTOR games. FF Tactics is still fun because it's based around the actual tactical gameplay rather than pointless leveling and a linear story, and there are the occasional linear games with battle systems that are really fun (Shadow Hearts Covenant for example), but the story is still linear, so there are limits to how much fun I can get out of them. I'd trade them all in without hesitation if it would mean Oblivion would come out any sooner.

I hate the FF combat system.
"Ok, im going to run over there and hit the dragon and then jump back to where I originally stood so that the dragon can have his turn to hit me"
I have to admit that I have enjoyed the Final Fantasy series; however, lately my love for the series has dropped off to the point where I could give less of a crap about it. I still love playing RPGS, but I've been trying to play non-mainstream ones, like Growlanser series and such. Why? Final Fantasy has been using the same character types and story lines forever, they just changed names and settings. I loved Yuffie when I played FF7, and I like Rikku from FFX, but they are almost interchangable! I frequently called Rikku Yuffie when I played FFX, and I just couldn't help it. I'd also joking refer to the AVALANCHE group from FF7 as the Returners because of the fact that it was almost the same storyline from FF6. (Hell, AVALANCHE members even looked like Returners).
When Final Fantasy Twelve comes out, I won't skip a beat. To me, another Bass Fishing game might as well have come out, because I just don't give a shit.
Currently idling a game of FFVII in the PS2, I'm definately a fan. However, the best Final Fantasy is FFIX, which makes the majority of you wrong. sorry, try again later.
(FFVII, FFT, and FFVI were cool too, and FFIV's just old-skool :D)
