I'm split, myself. x68K is an earlier system and has a 68K processor allowing for pretty much direct arcade ports (or for x68K assembly gurus to easily port their stuff), and it got a lot of them.
FM Towns, on the other hand, has a much faster series of processors (386/586, MHz-wise) and can do more. The UX-20 is one of the best looking all-in-one PCs around, somewhat like a Mac in that regard. Plus instant win for ports of Raiden and Splatterhouse.

X68k is coooool! Stylish chache that was named manhattan-shape is very cute!
but, Towns are not enough because Fujitsu makes it down to Windows386 machine....
Towns got non standard architecture and no honorable policy, I think.

Show me any games for FM towns that weren't shitty ports of western games, or hentai. X68k on the other hand and k-rad games, and in my opinion the coolest castlevania.
My favorite jap computer is the PC98 though for the large library of early to mid 90's hentai games

x68k games were pretty fun. Too bad there were only a few made compared to consoles and even DOS+windows.

X68000 was home to ТЕТРИС-semipro aka Shimizu Tetris, but FM Towns had a version of Heboris, so it's kind of a toss-up.
