Cage Eggs are shit tier. Free roaming are the only eggs worth eating.

Give every person in the world 2 hens and 1 rooster, a grasshopper farm in a green house to grow grass. Solved world hunger, and destroyed the egg industry.

free roaming eggs are a marketing gimmick.

Fowl normally forage for insects, grubs and seeds all day. But the "cage-free" eggs that go for a 200% premium in the market are just hens that get to walk around for a few hours a day and instead of eating GMO corn and bits of cow bones, the "cage-free" hens get to eat "organic" corn. This is still a far cry from the natural food source of hens.

Should you ever get the chance...hens that get to eat insects have eggs that are high in beta carotene and have THE most flavorful yolks. Puts all those "cage-free" eggs to shame 10x over.

I bought 40 chickens, expecting half to die, but it's been 2 months and none of them have died yet. I can't keep feeding all these fucking chickens! They've eaten all my fucking grass and I have to buy 50$ worth of feed a week.
