Pasta with creamy sauce, Help please!

i have a dream
a dream where i have delicious chicken and broccoli
playing with bacon and mushrooms coated in a cream sauce.

but how to make sauce? im king of tomato based sauce, but no idea for cream sauces.

use cream in place of tomatoes

2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 dash white pepper
1 cup milk

1.In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Slowly whisk in the milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Use immediately or refrigerate.
