Gluten Free

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-14 4:03

So for years I had this rash and my joints hurt.  I was pretty sure it was an allergy so I started systematically eliminating stuff from my diet until there was practically nothing left.  I was terrified, because the only options left seemed to be cigarettes and weed.  Then I though about the gluten thing and sure enough within days I was better.  No doughnuts!?!, but it really hasn't been that bad.  The rice pastas really taste pretty good, and I do cheat once in a while.  Anybody else have this problem?  Tips?

I have some issues, but I have never had a rash.

How do you cope with beer ie Lager style?

I read that it's an unusual symptom.  I don't drink beer, but have not had a problem with whiskey.

I had candidiasis so I had to cut out gluten. Shitsux.
However, I found many websites with gluten-free cake/brownie/cookie/etc. mixes, and pizza dough and stuff. You can just order them online, and I'm very happy. I was going a little crazy there for a few months.

>had this problem for years
you sure it was allergy? often with alot of exposure to something you are allegic to (but won't kill you) will take away the allergy.

Let's say I'm sure it's a "sensitivity".  And you make an excellent point that I never really hear discussed.  Long ago I suffered an exposure to poison ivy so severe that I was sure it would result in a hospitalization.  Symptoms never developed, and to this day I don't react to the stuff.

I would go mad if I could not eat gluten

Don't change these.
