cheese

Cheese has an absolute and ultimate purpose. You however do not. If all traces and forms of cheese simultaneously disappeared from our dirty globe, the effects would be widespread and catastrophic. The ramifications of your absence would be short-lived and small in scale; more than pathetic in comparison. Could your sad, quiet exit summarily destroy the beauty that is the toasted cheese sandwich? Don't even attempt to answer.

Cheese wordlessly and with great confidence accepts its status as an icon of power and puissance. That life giving block or wheel or tub of potential sustenance and enjoyment fairly vibrates with justified existential glee. You on the other hand idiotically fumble the caught ball of life. While cheese devours every moment of existence with a devoted single-minded, viciously passionate purpose, you bump from moment to moment like a warped and rusted ball in a pinball game played by those twin Gods of the Humans - Cretinous Chance and Fickle Intent.

Few are called to ponder the riddle of cheese. Even fewer can bear to absorb the singular crystalline beauty of the answer. We exist so that it may excel at being cheese. What remains for us is to follow its example and find our own greater purpose. Then we may truly compare ourselves with true heart, and joyous mind, with that sacred lactic godhead.
