I also like fancy whole long leaf tea from Asian specialty stores, the kind you brew for only 30 seconds or so. Lovely. Not for average tea drinkers, it's pretty expensive and you need the right equipment.

Pu erh is a good easy tea. Hard to overbrew, lots of caffeine. Cheap greens are fun too, if they're not overbrewed.
