been drinking at least 1 soda a day for the last 5 years, usually 2 or more cans.. last time I went without I had a headache, do I actually have a caffeine addiction or is it just in my head. Also, caffeine pills useful if I run out of soda? cheap or no?

Those headaches are just the result of your kidneys dying.

Yes, you have a caffeine addiction and your body is going through withdrawals when you stop. Drink tea instead. While it does have caffeine, it also helps with boosting insulin.
I quit caffeine recently after going one or two double espressos daily for a few years. The first few days I slept alot, but after that I felt normal.

addicted is killing two 2-liters a day. had a teacher who did that. talk about hyper. youre probably not addicted. ibuprofen fixes headaches. just use that.

Only weak people get addicted. I drink soda for the taste. Caffeine only effects weak people. I can sleep sound with 5% of my blood filled with caffeine.

I would doubt that it is an addition because a 12oz can of soda has 40mg of caffeine. 40-100mg of caffeine a day is more benificial to your body then bad, although I can't say the same for the other ingredience. Although I don't know your tolerance for the drug, that is a very small amount. 6oz of coffee has 80-100 mg of caffeine just for comparison and a lot of people will have 3-4 of those a day.
