Madventures(Finnish travel show) had episode set in Africa where they ate somesort of fried larvas. They were found to be very tasty(contary to typical pukefests of show when they eat some weird shit) and they didn't look bad either. Now fact that they're bugs might be problem for some phobists. They're not much food though. More like snacks.

They eat alot of yams. Those are pretty good.

Alot of the countries bordering the Mediterranean or the Middle East take influences from Muslim food and Mediterranean cuisine, both of which are pretty good.
