Steak

ITT we talk about steak.  All good things about steak.  How you like it, good places to get it, favorite ways and methods to cook it, etc.

I have a good way to do skirt steaks when they go on sale.  I use a mix of equal parts paprika, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and a bit of cumin in proportion to the rest.  This gives it a nice Eastern European flavor to it; the cumin is a nice extra kick.

Best steak I ever had was at a country club.  They didn't do anything to it, just grilled it.  That's not good for you, I know, but it was a good strip steak, great cut of certified Angus beef, served with some basic boiled veggies and garlic mashed potatoes.

I like 'em rare.  Just barely cooked through.  It's greatness.

My father used to buy half a cow with this other guy, so we had a full refrigerator-sized frezzer full of meat.  So I got to try all kinds of steaks when I was young.  I remember liking porterhouse best.  But I don't remember why, exactly.

I don't need any spices on my steak, just pan-fried is fine.  Maybe fried with some worcestshire (sp?) sause.
