I'm building up a gaming computer, but I can't agree with which OS would work better for me, for gaming Linux has a few handicaps, but Windows gives me the creeps and I don't feel like paying, What would you do people?

Dual boot. When you feel comfortable, go full Ubuntu. Or even better for your comp's resources: Lubuntu. Same sh*t, same apps and options available, more power to spare for your games.
Also, try PlayByLinux (www.playonlinux.com) on the (L)ubuntu boot. It's a simple configuration layer for WINE and works great on good hardware. If your game's not listed, you can be creative and help others out by making and sharing your own config for it.

Dual boot is too easy, install winblows first but make sure you only use half of the disk. Then when you install ubuntu, mint or whatever, grub will automatically configure an area to choose which OS starts at boot. if you want to choose which boots by default, or how long until it automatically boots, google "edit etc/default/grub update-grub" and change it to whatever you want.
