Long story short, I need to recover some stuff on a computer that used to be mine but I don't have physical access to. I've got an admin user and password, and know how to proceed, but I need to find out the computer's IP adress.
I have the current owner's e-mail, though I'm not sure how to proceed.
Sites visited by your ip are stamped in the http log, this is how cache is further generated. How you obtain the log is easiest via email. If you haven't figured out by now, you should evaluate your intentions.
1) Click "Run", if you are using window 7, type Run in the textbox under All Programs
2) Type "cmd"
3) An black screen command prompt box or C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe will appear.
4) Type in "ipconfig/all" and all the ip address will be display, depend on you are using wireless check for Wireless Lan adapter or network cable check for Ethernet adapter.
