Linux distorts

After doing some research. I've come down to 3 choices for the Linux distro I want to install.
They are:
Cruchbang
Slackware
And Gentoo

Looking for some input on which to install. I have working understanding of Debian based Linux distros, but I'm still fairly new.

I do currently have crunchbang installed, but want to re-format. I installed some scripts wrong and it won't let me shut it off, unless I pull the power cord. Haha. When I go into a terminal to shutdown it tells me I don't have permission. It gave me a good laugh, but still needs to be fixed

I don't recommend slackware, personal pref.

Instead of CrunchBang just go Arch and have it your way.

Lotta Gentoo tards but it is a good distro for advanced users and customization.

CrunchBang
Never used it myself, but it's based on Debian, so I suppose it's good. It seems to emphasize being customizable, but you can make the mainline Debian distribution as customizable as you want, so that really doesn't matter.
Slackware
Slackware has been called the most BSD-like of Linux, and I'd say that I'd agree. It's more for advanced users, though, since it's not really designed to be clear-cut and if you like to edit conf files by hand to do simple adjustments for things, sure go ahead (not that that's a bad idea if you really want to sink your teeth a bit further into the ins and outs of a Linux system).
Gentoo
/g/ has ruined Gentoo's reputation, but I wouldn't let that stop you from trying it out. Gentoo, like Slackware, can help you really sink your teeth into Linux and getting to know it much better from a technical standpoint, and it's more customizable in terms of setup, and the fact that you can machine compile your own distro in a way from it.
