best OS for battery life

I recently built a computer more powerful than I need, so it will be used for my normal usage.

I have an old T61 that I'll only need for light browsing/word editing now. What is the best OS to use in order to maximize the battery life?

Arch works very efficiently for me. What distro you use doesn't matter so much as how well you optimize it for your computer, though.
