VMWare admin rights

Name: not_me 2011-12-16 9:58

I recently had to create a Windows 7 VM for a networking class I'm taking. We were supposed to get ultra-portable HDDs, but thanks to that Thailand floods, all we got were 32GB flashdrives (until next quarter).

Since the flashdrive I got was corrupt, I had to create my Windows7 VM on my personal laptop. Now that I have a good drive, I want to run the VM on the school computers like everyone else. Problem is, I made the VM on my laptop with VMWorkstation while having admin rights. The school computers, naturally, do not grant admin rights to students (or most of the staff, for that matter). When VMPlayer tried to open

My question is, is there a way to change the VM so that it will run on a computer when logged in as a guest, or would I have to create a new VM from scratch?

I already tried swapping out the VMX file, and that returned an error that the machine was suspended instead of shutdown, even though it WAS shutdown and NOT suspended.

Thanks to Anon, in advance.

Don't change these.
