USB wifi card

Hi guys,are USB wifi cards much worse than PCI ones for wpa/wep cracking ,so i can use free wifi? I really need that internet for a little while and i dont want to spend much on the card. aircrack&etc  on backtrack to be used.

if you can find aircrack drivers for the wifi usb card, then go for it.
