I just spent the last 4 days setting up ubuntu in a flash drive and installing and updating and setting everything up nice and cool. I even partitioned it with one partition having 5GB(ubuntu on it) and another with 20GB that I hoped I could use to transfer files between computers as in retaining it's flash drive capabilities.
Well guess what, I justbooted into windows 7 and found that I couldn't access the 20GB FAT partition so I went into disk manager and niticed that the 20GB partition was mounted(G:) but the filesystem said RAW instead of FAT.
>No problems, I'll just format it and then I'll use it like I wanted
So I select the RAW partition(the ubuntu one doesn't show the it's filesystem because windows doesn't recognize ext4.
So as I selected format and pressed start I thought to myself:
>Don't fuck this up, windows.
And sure enough windows FUCKED IT UP!
I chose the 20GB partition, NOT THE ONE THAT SAID FIVE FUCKING GIGABYTES AND WASNT MOUNTED
How can I fix this? My only hope is that since I chose quick format there'll be a way to revert this.
Please tell me there is.
Also do any of you happen to know how long it takes for red lantern rings to arrive? Because I've been raging so hard for the past 10 minutes that I've just expected it to break a wall and land on my keyboard.

just reformat that drive from windows in fat32 and install ubuntu on it. you should be able to mount that in windows and boot ubuntu from it
sorry bro but you have a big fuckup there lol. you can also try to back up any important data you have on the flash to cds or whatever

next time make the FAT32 partition the first part on the flash drive.
To fix: boot into linux (livecd works) and run fsck.ext3 on the partition that windows just fucked. If you're lucky, it'll recover from a backup superblock. GL.
