text files

I have a bunch of text files I need to alter. Is there any way to modify all instances of a certain text in all my documents at one time rather than opening each document and modifying them that way?

I'm using windows 7 btw.

Well you could copy paste all info into one file then use find and replace. But you'll have to be more specific of what exactly you want to modify.
