System wide equalizer

Is there a way to get an equalizer that works system-wide on Windows 7 Ultimate x64?

I'd like to find an alternative to SRS Audio Sandbox, because it's not really compatible with vista/7 so it crashes constantly.

I think to have it system wide, it needs to be part of the audio driver, preferably on dedicated dsp hardware. I've been using sb live with the kX driver for years... routing, eq, delay, reverb - all without added latency or cpu overhead. Not sure if there's anything similar for other audio cards. What kind of audio hardware you got?

The way SRS does it is by providing an extra sound driver which I can set as default.
