windows 7 show desktop button

is there any way to remove the "show desktop" button that is located to the far right of the windows 7 taskbar?

inb4 delete system32/hal.dll, get linux

why would you do that?

You can disable the previewing effect by disabling "Enable Aero Peek" in the Visual Effects menu. Not sure on how to remove the button completely, but I don't see a reason to, for the tiny bit of space you'll get.

Wow, sure sounds soooo much better than XP, where it's just a scf in quick launch that can be moved or deleted.
