DVI to VGA

Hey there comp, I wonder if you guys can help me with this problem.

I'm wanting to use my PC monitor for my PS3, however my monitor does not support HDCP and only has VGA input. Therefore I'm thinking of ordering a HDMI to DVI cable then using a DVI to VGA adapter.

Will this work? If not, can you suggest another low cost solution?
