I just got a new computer, and in order to save cash, I haven't bought the Microsoft Office package (shit was like $100). Is there a good, free, word processor out there? The shitty default one that came with my computer has pissed me off for the last time.

Latex is for typesetting, not word processing. If you don't know the difference then maybe you shouldn't be using it.
